Well for starters, it adds a layer of protection to your home. It acts as a barrier to protect against the elements like rain and frost, which means it helps prevent water damage, mould growth and offers additional insulation to your property, all in one!
This added layer of protection can help extend the life span of your home and could save you a lot of money on costly repairs down the line against such threats from the elements.
Not only is coloured rendering practical, it also gives your property a beautiful look and finish that will leave your neighbours envious.

External Wall Rendering

Wall rendering has been used for hundreds of years to improve the appearance of the exterior walls ton brick, concrete and mud houses. Besides from giving your home a new lease of life, rendering has many other benefits such as better insulation and protection from the wearing effect of weather. This is especially important in Britain where wind and rain can affect the colour and surface of exterior walls. There are a variety of different styles of rendering throughout the world, with many countries having traditional colours and styles. A traditional render is textured or coloured before application, and is made of sand and cement mixed together. Adding small stones gives a pebble-dashed effect. More recently acrylic renders are used as they are more water-resistant and stronger than traditional renders. With acrylic renders there is a great choice of pigmented finishing coats. Also, many textures and patterns are possible such as a sand effect, marble, sandstone, lime wash, stone, lime wash, or clay-like finishes. We complete works throughout the whole of the UK, If you would like to find out more about how external wall rendering can improve the look of your property, please contact us.
